The Opportunity
Health and care transformation will only become a reality if we have the right number of staff, with the right skills, values and behaviours, at the right time and at the right place through:
- Implementing new ways of working which effectively uses the full range of our workforce’s skills and experience to deliver the best possible patient care
- Planning for our future population through integrated workforce, finance and service planning which focuses on prevention and care closer to home
- Establishing a ‘one workforce’ approach across health and care systems which is agile and develops shared principles and ambitions for people and a compassionate and inclusive culture which retains and attracts our workforce
