The Transformation Unit specialises in the transformation of health and care.
The NHS Transformation Unit (TU) is an internal NHS team working alongside health and care clients to deliver major change programmes since 2015. We work in partnership with our clients to transform care and health outcomes for people and communities, empowering change from within.
The NHS Transformation Unit (TU) is hosted by The Midlands & Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU). The NHS Transformation Unit Director, Janet Budd, also sits on the MLCSU Board as the Director of Strategy.
The NHS Transformation Unit was originally established in 2015 through the governance arrangements in Greater Manchester following the national reorganisation of the NHS, which led the team to largely support NHS organisations within Greater Manchester. However, from 2017 the organisation diversified its portfolio of work and the NHS Transformation Unit now supports health and care systems and organisations across England and on national level projects too.
The NHS Transformation Unit is a team of experienced transformation professionals who offer a range of consultancy services that are tailored to the needs of each client. We make complex change simple.
We are proud to be part of the NHS because we are dedicated to making the public purse go further, by supporting organisations to deliver change which will provide safe, high-quality, reliable care.
We deliver strategic transformation, for the NHS, by the NHS.
At the heart of the NHS Transformation Unit are our values, which underpin all of our work:
- We are People Focused
- We are Driven
- We act with Integrity
- We Empower our people
